The basics of gardening in Morocco: Master gardener Bev Bingham and Trumpet Vine owner Vicki Carlson will discuss vegetable gardening basics at the Morocco Community Library from 6-7 p.m. on March 7. Topics will include soil types, when to plant what, and simple methods to maintain our gardens. The North Newton High School Greenhouse also provides a plant for each participant to take home. Mother Goose on the loose in Morocco, Roselawn: Our fun program for toddlers, Mother Goose on the Loose, is presented at 10 a.m. every Wednesday (March 9 – April 27) at the Morocco Community Library and every Tuesday (March 15 – May 10) at Roselawn Library. These programs feature fun themes of simple moves, concepts, families and friends! Children will hear stories, sing, dance, learn finger games, play together and meet other children and adults. Mars Roselawn Book Club: The Roselawn Library will host a book club from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on March 10 and 24. Attendees will read and discuss Cait Flanders’ memoir, “The Year of Less: How I Stopped Shopping, Gave Away My Belongings, and Discovered Life with Worth More Than Anything You Can Buy in a Store.” Customers who wish to participate must order this book from the library through Evergreen Indiana. Wiggleworms in Roselawn: Wiggleworms is an engaging program for toddlers 9 months to two years old. Babies and caregivers will learn simple songs, finger plays, lullabies, nursery rhymes and simple stories to engage and develop strong listening and motor skills. Miss Hope will be giving Wiggleworms to Roselawn at 10 a.m. every Thursday (March 17-May 12). Programs are short (25-30 minutes), packed with activities, and a great way to make new friends, cuddle your little ones, and have fun together. Color Zone Coloring for Adults at Roselawn: Roselawn Library will offer “Color Zone” from 6-8 p.m. on March 17. Spend a few hours with other adults, have fun and express your creativity! No experience is necessary. If you have your own coloring books and materials, you can bring them, but we will also have materials available. You can choose your own coloring pages from the variety of images that will be available, and we will provide you with markers, crayons or colored pencils.
