Next month’s slate of activities at the Pine Island Public Library has topics for all ages. The following programs are free to the public.

Adult programs

Receive personalized help downloading eBooks, movies, music and more from Overdrive and Hoopla, two of Lee County Library System’s largest online content providers. Bring your fully charged digital device for this hands-on help session. Note: Please bring any passwords you may need to download apps. Kindle users will also need an Amazon account and their password to access it.

9:30 a.m., Fridays, March 11 and 25

Researchers and art therapists have touted the calming effects of coloring, and adults have found this childhood activity a refreshing way to unleash their creativity, relieve stress, and meet other participants. Coloring pages designed especially for adults, as well as colored pencils, will be provided.

Technical Thursdays: individual help

3:30 p.m., Thursdays, March 10 and 24

Need help with a laptop, tablet or e-reader? Looking to learn basic computer skills? We can help. Bring your fully charged device and all passwords for a one-on-one 15-minute technology session. Registration is mandatory.

Children’s programs

Celebrate Reading Across America

10:30 a.m., Tuesday, March 1

Read Across America brings the joys of reading to students of all ages. Celebrate Read Across America at the Pine Island Public Library by enjoying a special story hour featuring our favorite Dr. Seuss characters, crafts and games.

Learn with Magnatiles

10:30 a.m., Tuesday, March 8

Preschoolers will enjoy learning the letters of the alphabet while building with Magnatiles.

Family story time

10:30 a.m., Tuesdays, March 15 and 29

For children up to 5 years old and accompanying persons. Families with young children enjoy a variety of stories, songs, rhymes and movements. Places limited to 20 children. First come, first served.

Teen book discussion meeting

11 a.m., Saturday March 12

For 12-18 year olds. Meet new friends, play games, and help grow the library’s teen book club. Bring your ideas and choose titles for our playlist.

Spring Break Getaway!

1 p.m., Wednesday March 23

Join other teens as we try to solve clues to unravel the mysteries inside the box.
