Bourbonnais Municipal Library

• Bookworms: At 4:00 p.m. on Monday, students in grades four through six are invited to participate in a book club that meets on the second and fourth Mondays of the month. This will be the first meeting, and the club will discuss “The Silver Arrow” by Lev Grossman. Copies are available at the library. Register by emailing [email protected]

• Evening Yoga: At 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, the library will host an evening yoga class which is an all-levels yoga practice, providing opportunities to develop strength and flexibility of mind, body and spirit. the mind. Bradley Public Library

• My 1st Book Club: At 4:30 p.m. Monday, K-4 students are invited to join Ms. Sarah as she introduces young college students to book discussions and activities featuring a new early-reader book every month. The group will meet in person for one hour.

• Sewing 101: Thursday at 4 p.m., learn the basics of using a sewing machine. No previous experience required, but children will handle sharp objects and machinery. This course will be a mandatory prerequisite for other sewing courses. For 8 to 18 year olds.

Edward Chipman Public Library (Momence)

• Sing-A-Long & Storytime: Wednesday at 11 a.m. there will be 30 minutes of singing, followed by 30 minutes of storytime reading. Program open to young people.

Grant Park Library

The library offers books from the bestseller list as well as old classics and children’s books. They also have children’s DVDs, which require a deposit which is returned when the DVD is returned.

Kankakee Public Library

• Winter reading: until March 18, the library celebrates winter reading. Whether participants read a book, listen to a podcast, or watch a show or movie, they can enter to win a variety of great local prizes. Watch the library’s Facebook page for more information. Go to bit.ly/3qA4XDg to complete the winter reading form. Winners will be chosen and notified each Friday. This program is open to the public, regardless of residency. He is free to participate.

Limestone Township Library District

• Writer’s Group: The group will meet from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Discord. The group edits and critiques the work of others. Contact the library to register and provide your email address, where they will send the Discord link.

• Do-it-yourself crafts: every Saturday, the library offers supplies to pick up for do-it-yourself crafts. These are designed for grades 1-5.

Manteno Public Library

• Valentine’s Day Bake Sale: Until February 5, Friends of the Library will be accepting bake sale orders for a fundraising event. Friends teamed up with Twisted Cupcake for some sweet treats. • Coloring for adults: At 2 pm on Thursday, the library will host a coloring program for adults. Bring a project, or the materials will be provided.

Pembroke Public Library

• Monthly Project: Every Friday is Family Fun Day. Get the supplies for this month’s project, which is themed “Journaling Everywhere.”
