The Knihovny.cz portal, operated by the Moravian Library in cooperation with the libraries of Prague and Blansko, has created the Libraries website for Ukraine at https://ukrajina.knihovny.cz, which provides librarians and teachers with materials to work with Ukrainian refugee children. Czech Republic, March 10 (BD) – An important task of libraries is to collect, describe and organize documents in a clear way, while offering them to everyone who needs them. Knihovny.cz is a portal to research everything in Czech libraries, as well as a place to find resources from the online world related to different fields. When the libraries first closed, they prepared a catalog of available online resources and a regularly updated catalog for quick orientation in children’s books. Knihovny.cz has now decided to react to the situation in Europe related to the influx of refugees from Ukraine.
In addition to warmth, calm and Internet access, libraries offer many other cultural, community and educational resources, which are sure to increase as more Ukrainians move to Czech Republic. There is not much material in Ukrainian that could be used for these activities in physical form in Czech libraries and it is now very difficult to buy them.
For this reason, the thematic project “Libraries for Ukraine” was created, as a source of freely available and usable online materials, especially for children. Links to online fairy tales, games, quizzes, coloring pages or materials in the Czech language can be found there by librarians, teachers or people from non-profit organizations involved in activities Recreation.
The offer will be expanded based on feedback from the public. The editorial staff is currently discussing specific forms of cooperation with the Lviv City Library.https://brnodaily.com/2022/03/10/news/knihovny-cz-offers-online-materials-for-working-with-ukrainian-refugee-children/https://brnodaily.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/books-4525150_1280-1024×682.jpghttps://brnodaily.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/books-4525150_1280-150×100.jpgrecent newsCzech Republic / WorldCzech Republic, library, news, UkraineThe Knihovny.cz portal, operated by the Moravian Library in cooperation with the libraries of Prague and Blansko, has created the Libraries for Ukraine website at https://ukrajina.knihovny.cz, which provides librarians as well as teachers of materials working with Ukrainian refugee children.
