Enon News | The vintage leader

I hope you all had a wonderful Easter holiday. We spent Easter Sunday at church, then with our families for lunch and supper. It was a beautiful day worshiping our risen Savior and spending time with family, relaxing. Family is extremely important to me and I am grateful to each of its members. I hope you were able to spend some quality time with your family and friends.

Enon Baptist Church held a fabulous sunrise service and morning worship. The children sang and let me tell you, these children love to sing and worship. Brother Lenny Stephens brought the message because Brother Chris was sick. If you are looking for a church home, you are more than welcome to come and worship with us in Enon. The annual Block Party will take place on April 30 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. We have reached about half of our Annie Armstrong Easter offering goal so far. The blessing of food will take place on April 23. The Washington Parish Food Bank is asking for donations of canned vegetables, dried beans, oatmeal, juice, canned rice, macaroni and cheese and peanut butter. Operation Christmas Child needs $15 for shipping, laundry detergent, soap, combs, socks, toothbrushes, kleenex and coloring books. We accept education boxes, community coffee coupons and aluminum can tabs for Ronald McDonald House.

Happy birthday to my husband James, my daughter Annalize, one of our amazing teachers Chelsey Hammons, Jill Richardson Hickman and Erica Polk.
