Crayola launched the first box of 64-karat crayons in 1958, giving kids the ability to stretch their imaginations beyond traditional colors, introduce new shades, and add colorful fun to playtime! Along with the new colors, the box included a built-in pencil sharpener for added convenience. Over the years, the box of 64 colored pencils has become a household item and a favorite with fans of all ages.
Crayola is releasing a special box of 64 limited-edition Happy 64th Birthday crayons available at Walmart stores and on Walmart.com to celebrate this iconic anniversary. Crayola will also have a limited-edition crayon case available throughout August at Family Dollar and commemorative anniversary crayon boxes at Crayola.com. The 64 Happy 64th Birthday crayons are not only about the party outside, but also include 64 crayons inside, waiting to celebrate your most creative ideas!
