County legislator hosts toy drive for RGH Pediatric Center

ROCHESTER, NY (WROC) – County Legislator Paul Dondorfer has teamed up with AP Property Services President Sean Fico, Rochester General Hospital Safety and Security and Rochester General Hospital to organize a toy drive to benefit young patients in need at the Rochester General Hospital Pediatric Center.

The pediatric center said there was a shortage of toys for pediatric patients of all ages. For those going through such unique and difficult times as children, the happiness and normalcy that toys can provide is immeasurable.

All types of toys (coloring books, stuffed animals, action figures) were accepted and donated toys had to be new and in their factory packaging.

“I’m so grateful to be able to play a part in delivering toys for children at the Rochester General Pediatric Center,” Dondorfer said. “Although they are the youngest in our community, they really are the strongest. I hope these toys will help make things a little easier for these youngsters.

The toy drive was held this Saturday, from 9 a.m. to noon, in the Front Loop of Rochester General Hospital.

The drop-off location was hosted and operated by participating members, including County Legislator Paul Dondorfer, County Executive Adam Bello, AP Property Services President Sean Fico, General Hospital Safety and Security Rochester and staff at Rochester General Hospital.
